PACKETVIDEO SELECTED TO HELP AT&T BRING NEW MOBILE MUSIC EXPERIENCE TO MARKET

New End-to-End Mobile Music Service Redefines the Way AT&T Customers Can Play, Discover and Shop for Music Using their Mobile Device

SAN DIEGO - March 24, 2010 - PacketVideo (PV) announced today at CTIA that it was selected by AT&T* to help bring AT&T’s new end-to-end mobile music service to market, giving customers a more cohesive way to play, discover and shop for music using their mobile phone.

The new AT&T Music service provides users with a unified music experience that integrates online genre and personalized radio stations, melody match and lyric lookup services, ability to buy and download full songs and albums, and more into a single, easy-to-navigate interface.

"PV embraced this opportunity to bring to life the way AT&T re-imagined how the mobile music experience should look, feel and perform for wireless customers,” said James Brailean, Ph.D., CEO, PV. “With the monumental shifts we've seen in other areas of mobile entertainment over the last two years, they recognized a need to make mobile music simple, seamless, and relevant in users’ lives. We’re excited to work with AT&T to bring such a compelling service to fruition."

"AT&T has built a robust, best-in-class, new mobile music experience for very affordable but powerful phones," said Ted Woodbery, vice president of Wireless Data, Voice and Ancillary Products for AT&T Mobility and Consumer Markets. "In collaboration with PacketVideo, we were able to bring to life our vision for the kind of seamless integrated mobile music features that we feel will really resonate with our customers."

Within one mobile broadband application, subscribers to AT&T Music can:
  • Listen to 40 commercial-free genre radio stations;
  • Customize unlimited personal radio stations;
  • Use song match to identify the tune by holding their phone up to music playing on the radio, TV or elsewhere;
  • Search for lyrics to identify song title and artist;
  • Preview, buy and download songs and albums straight to their phone; and
  • Listen to personal music saved on their mobile device, including the ability to create and manage playlists and find music by artist, album, song or genre.
